Under intense pressure from a raft of world leaders (business and political, living and dead) our long suffering President (chief cook and bottle-washer) has conceded that plans announced over the Christmas break for his imminent retirement were premature and entertained with a total lack of empathy for the rest of us. Hence he is staying on the ticket (bugger). Besides, nobody else wanted the job(s).
