The following advice has been received from BHRDCA Secretary Michael VanZuyden regarding resumption of cricket after the 11:59pm 17 Feb '21 end to a five day stage-4 statewide lockdown imposed by the Victorian government.
"Hello All,
Good news, the five day lockdown has ended and the restrictions in place prior to the lockdown remain.
The CoM met tonight to discuss Senior Cricket Round 12.
Based on the feedback received from clubs, and Cricket Victoria's suggestion not to create a reserve day if not already considered when the fixture was set, the CoM decided that the Senior Round 12 matches would all be deemed abandoned. When entering the information in MyCricket, please identify the match as Match Drawn. (same impact as a match impacted by weather) We ask clubs to complete entering their Senior & Junior teams in MyCricket by 11.59pm Friday. We will not be unlocking matches after this deadline for clubs to enter teams. Each team will receive equal match points, and will not be disadvantaged. Promotion and relegation remains in place for this season. Any permits for Round 12 will remain valid, no need to reapply if those players are named in those respective teams. ....."
"T20 ... Grand Finals have been postponed 7 days, and are scheduled to be played; Kookaburra Shield - 22 Feb. The other grades are scheduled for Tuesday 23rd Feb."
Our Veterans are unaffected.
Please also note the following from 1Breadcrump concerning our QR Code contact tracing compliance.
"... Due to the Christmas Break, not using the 1Breadcrumb app for over 3 weeks has resulted in some phones putting the location of the app to sleep. This means that automatic check-ins aren’t working and the compliance levels for the clubs are lower. In order to improve these numbers and get people automatically checking in again, we ask that you follow these steps and PDF to ensure everyone at the club is on the same page.
- Check in manually to the site again
- Open your device settings and set location to “Always” as apple updates change this setting.
- If you have a Samsung, adaptive power settings may need to be changed
- The attached PDF (will be displayed at the Club - admin' note) has all the required information and screenshots on how to do this. ..."
