LAST MALE STANDING RHINO CUP 2018.
Date of Event Blackburn North Cricket Club : Fri Jun 8, 2018 6:00PM
D & T Trees & Garden, East Doncaster Vic.

There is now just one week to go until the "Last Male Standing - Rhino Cup 2018" starts in Kenya (15-17 June '18). This annual cricket tournament is conducted over a weekend in June each year at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy where just three months ago "Sudan", the world's last male Northern White Rhino died. Sudan was literally his species' last male standing, hence the name.

The event is aimed at raising awareness of the northern white rhino's the plight and promoting cricket development in Kenya. 2018 is expected to be the biggest and best gathering yet, with players, volunteers, umpires and coaches flying in from South Africa, USA, Australia, Mauritius and England. Follow the progress of your favourite team played at one of Africa's most pristine locations.

This year's tournament is dedicated to Sudan's memory with all profits going towards rhino conservation at Ol Pejeta Conservancy and youth cricket coaching/education via the East Africa Cricket and Education Foundation charity.

Update (end of day-2):
It has been an enthralling two days of action in the Last Male Standing Cricket Cup on Ol Pejeta. Look for the Cup winner after day-3 tomorrow (Sunday 17 June 18), follow the tournament's progress on Facebook at the "Last Male Standing Rhino Cup - Ol Pejeta Kenya" (link provided to online scores).
