Next week (Sat 11 Jan '20) will see a resumption of Saturday afternoon cricket after the mid-season Christmas-New Year break. Our long-suffering 'Mad Dogs' and recently acquired 'Englishmen' will "go out in the noonday sun" for day-14 of the current Ray McIntosh Shield and day-12 of the C-grade season to take on Heatherdale and Doncaster respectively in their 1-day return matches.

Going into the second last round before Christmas Heatherdale was undefeated, on top of the RMS ladder and expecting to cement that position with a 'walk in the park' at Len Toogood Oval. What followed was anything but that for the visitors and now it's our turn to 'poke the bear' in its own lair. Heatherdale is still haunting the top end of the ladder being currently nestled in second place whilst our team is just three points out of the four in equal fifth place and 'hungry' for a percentage boosting win.

Get along to support our teams over the next two Saturdays (11 & 18 Jan). The 1st XI will be at Heatherdale Reserve (11 Jan) and Len Toogood Oval (18 Jan) against Heatherdale and East Burwood CCs respectively whilst our 2nd XI will try for a reversal of fortunes in their outings against Doncaster & St David's CCs at Len Toogood Oval and Donvale Reserve #3 (s/w) respectively. Our last home & away round of twenty20 will be against Blackburn CC at Len Toogood Oval on Tuesday 21 Jan '20 from 5:15pm which must be won to ensure a place in the finals.
