Regulars at the Club will have noticed a red Kia 'residing' in the car-park of late, just siting there in the premium parking space like it owns the place.

As it turns out, rather then being a crass attempt at 'one-upmanship', the aforementioned "red Kia" was recently acquired by Mr Ross Kainey from Club sponsor and 2019/20 Gold Partner, Blackburn Kia. Ross is currently serving his 5th season as club President and general 'Dogsbody' but apparently the job has taken its toll and he felt the need for a 'new toy'. Enter Blackburn Kia.

With this acquisition Ross has shown a hitherto well disguised talent for picking a winner as is evidenced by the following -

1. He purchased it from a club sponsor (Blackburn Kia), a definite brownie point for any patriotic Blackburn North CC member.
2. It's competitively priced costing not much more than 45 20 year old yellow station wagons (if you don't believe us, just ask John Toogood) plus, the Kia has a new car warranty.
3. It's an automatic. When you're as uncoordinated as our Ross, the last thing you need is a clutch and stick.
4. It's literally 'bristling' with an array of cameras, sensors, alarms (proximity/security), and numerous additional gadgetry that should provide the average driver with hours of amusement.
5. It parks itself. For the first time in living memory Ross can use parallel parking spaces.
6. It's red! Need we say more? It is widely believed that this was the clincher for Chairman Ross.
